Background of the company

Amirkabir Khazar Steel Complex in Rasht Industrial city was established in 2003 with the aim of achieving a customer-oriented, influential, reputable and leading organization in the country’s steel industry. It covers an area of 14-hectare. The complex, with a production capacity of 750 thousand tons of steel rebar in 3 lines, began its operation in 2006 with employing 400 people directly. Amirkabir Khazar Steel Co. has emerged as one of the largest manufacturers of industrial and construction rebars in sizes 8 to 40 with different grades according to Iranian National Standard No. 3132 and international DIN, ASTM, GHOST and TS standards.

Now, it is possible to produce 500 grade weld-able rebar with desirable mechanical properties with this technological advancement in the rolling technology and development of automated production lines in terms of temperature control and cooling rate and the existence of thermex system, and fortunately in accordance with the valid international standards in the new revision, the ribbed reinforcing bar in grade 500 has also been approved and implemented  by the Iran National Standards Organization (INSO). In this regard, Amirkabir Khazar Steel Complex, which has activated in the production of A3 grade ribbed rebar since its establishment, it has now started mass production of ribbed rebar with grade 500 in all sizes with the approval of the new standard, and as the first manufacturer of grade A4 in Iran, it has succeeded in obtaining the standard certification. The yield stress range of A4 rebar and the final strength are at least 500 N/mm2 and 650 N/mm2 respectively, which it will cause the structure’s resistance to earthquakes. A4 grade rebars with proportioned concrete can be used to potentially reduce construction costs by 18 to 25 percent.
